Objectives:
The Careers 4.0 project aims to develop a novel conceptual framework and toolkit regarding career skills and labour market information required in the context of Industry 4.0. In view of the ongoing labour market turbulence, it sheds light on the importance of individuals’ empowerment to successfully navigate labour market transitions, matching people’s aspirations and skill with future job opportunities and labour market needs, while also boosting competitiveness, participation and talent.
Outcomes
- Development of Career Competencies 4.0 Framework & skill assessment
questionnaires for youngsters (age 16-24) - Development of a Careers and Competence 4.0 Information & Assessment
System, including a. digitized skill assessment questionnaires b. Career Information Tool Career presenting new emerging professions - Development of a Career Guidance 4.0 training program & new adapted career guidance 4.0 methodologies and practices for career practitioners.
Target Groups
• Direct target group: trainers, educators, career guidance practitioners, career coaching and mentoring specialists, training organizations, universities, business sector representatives, social partners who are involved in the wider network of training and career guidance services
• Indirect target groups: youngsters aged 16-29, who are in the process of career planning, need reorientation and guidance on informed career decision making as well as career management skills.

The Careers4.0 project has successfully concluded, and its final deliverables are now fully developed and openly accessible through the project’s digital platform.

Through the Careers4.0 platform, career practitioners now have the opportunity to use an innovative, technology-driven system to support their work with clients. The platform includes:
- an AI-based chatbot for skills assessment,
- an immersive Metaverse environment for interests exploration,
- and a career information section covering 19 job sectors and more than 40 detailed job profiles.
The Careers4.0 tools are designed to enhance the career guidance process by supporting meaningful dialogue with clients, facilitating self-awareness and providing structured, user-friendly information for career decision-making.
